Delete your account and data

You can delete your account yourself from inside the app, or ask us to do it for you. Either way everything below is removed — there is no partial deletion where we keep your data "just in case".
There is a 30-day grace period. When you request deletion you are signed out immediately and your account is scheduled for removal. If you sign in again within 30 days the deletion is cancelled automatically and your study data is exactly as you left it. After 30 days without signing in, everything is permanently deleted.
Option 1 — delete it yourself, in the app
- Open SRM Nursing Tutor and make sure you are signed in.
- Go to the Profile tab (bottom right).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account, in red.
- Tap Schedule deletion to confirm. You may be asked to sign in again first — a security check so nobody else can delete your account.
You are signed out straight away. Nothing is erased for 30 days, so if you change your mind just sign in again — that alone cancels it.
Option 2 — ask us to delete it
If you can no longer sign in — lost your password, lost the device, or you have already uninstalled the app — email srmnursingtutor@gmail.com from the email address you registered with, with the subject "Delete my account".
We use the sending address to confirm the request is really from you. If you email from a different address we will ask you to verify ownership before deleting anything, since we cannot let one person delete another's account.
We schedule the deletion when you ask, and carry it out after the 30-day grace period, confirming by email once it is done. Tell us if you would rather it happened sooner and we will action it right away.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account removes all of the following, permanently:
- Your sign-in credentials and account record
- Your profile — name, email, phone, college, graduation year, target exam, photo
- Every question attempt and answer you have recorded
- All test attempts, scores and result history
- Bookmarked questions, personal notes written on questions, and recently viewed items
- Study planner tasks, streaks and study statistics
- Your registered device sessions
- Your notification preferences
What is kept, and why

Deleting the app is not the same as deleting your account. Uninstalling removes the app from your phone but leaves your account and study data on our servers, so you can sign back in later. Use one of the two options above if you want the data gone.
Want to keep the account but clear some data?
You do not have to delete everything. In the app, go to Profile → Data & privacy to clear your recent searches while keeping your account and question progress.
